Rain is a character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. He made his debut in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Rain was originally meant to appear in Mortal Kombat 3 , but didn't actually appear until Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Rain was originally a red herring inserted by the game developers; a character shown in the game's attract mode who did not actually exist within the game itself. A recent interview reveals that the insert was made by Ed Boon himself to intentionally trick players.
It is the capital city of Sialkot District. It is Pakistan's 13th largest city by population [11] [6] and is located in north-east Punjab—one of Pakistan's most industrialised regions. Sialkot is believed to be the site of ancient Sagala , a city razed by Alexander the Great in BCE, and then made capital of the Indo-Greek kingdom by Menander I in the 2nd century BCE—a time during which the city greatly prospered as a major centre for trade and Buddhist thought. Ambiguity regarding Sialkot's ancient history has resulted in the promulgation of various myths and legends to explain the city's origins. Under Menander's rule, the city greatly prospered as a major trading centre renowned for its silk. Around CE, the Hephthalites , also known as the White Huns, invaded the region from Central Asia, [30] forcing the ruling family of nearby Taxila to seek refuge in Sialkot.
