Our clients are mostly low and moderate income immigrant families with limited or no English proficiency. The goal of our programs are to ensure that our clients receive support in the form of education, resources and referrals needed to adapt and become self sufficient. Our ultimate goal is for families to thrive and our community to be confident, healthy, strong and safe. APACC is a c 3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving the underprivileged Asian communities. We were founded in by a group of Asian immigrants who saw the need for social services in their communities in order to help families thrive in America. To this day, the core of our programs are still social services.

They are voracious eaters and bargain hunters, and lifelong visitors to Chinese neighborhoods everywhere. When we talk about a good Chinatown, we point to certain signs: live fish for sale, dragon eyes in sidewalk produce displays, smokers, crowds. And so: fish, dragons, smoke, crowds. Live fish mean that there are enough people buying to make the trouble of caring for the seafood worthwhile. The dragon eye — longan in Cantonese — is a strange fruit, a sweet, subtly fragrant exotic with coarse, sandpapery skin.
